The software platform PAS4000 comprises several editors for PLC programming and configuration, as well as software blocks.
In PAS4000, the tools for configuration, programming, commissioning and operation are closely compatible. The data interfaces are standardised, making information easier to exchange in all phases of automation.
The graphics Program Editor PASmulti is suitable for design engineers. It includes a comprehensive library of pre-certified software blocks - for position detection or general functions such as E-STOP, for example. Blocks for safety and automation mean that automation programs are much easier to create.
The Editors PAS STL (Structured Text), PAS LD (Ladder Diagram) and PAS IL (Instruction List) in accordance with EN/IEC 61131-3 are available in PAS4000 for PLC programming . These editors have been classified by TÜV Süd as LVL (Limited Variability Languages) . The Editors' classification as LVL means that, for the first time, editors for PLC programming meet the requirements for creating safety-related user software.
The identical programming environment of PASmulti and PAS IL/PAS STL/PAS LD makes handling simple. Software blocks that are written by the user in PAS STL, for example, can be transferred to PASmulti without problem. As a result, complex projects containing software components from various editors can be structured clearly and simply. A program is available for the complete application in a centralised view.
